The PCI Curriculum uses Technology-Based Leadership Development: a blend of face-to-face computer simulation seminars, on-line pre-work content and on-line application tools to achieve highly motivating, realistic and practical training that can be immediately applied on the job.
PCI's Computer Simulation Seminars
Higher Quality, Shorter Courses that are MORE Cost Effective!
The Pressure
Automation and the "learning organization" are driving total redesigns in management development. Leaders at all levels are under constant pressure to continuously increase productivity, quality, customer service and profitability. The cases, videos and behavioral modeling of older generations cannot do this job.
The Solution: Bottom-Line Leadership®
Top HRD professionals at General Electric, Chase, Johnson & Johnson, Metropolitan Life Insurance and 50 others are redesigning their management curricula around Computer Simulation-Seminars from PCI Global Inc. Our Bottom-Line Leadership® simulations respond to all challenges (above) and provide your internal customers with shorter courses, higher quality and targeted content - that is more cost effective - with less time off the job. Facilitators emerge as valued consultants.
Computer Simulation Seminars
PCI Global's Computer Simulation-Seminars are based on computer models of a project team, factory, "back office" or complete business. Each simulation recreates the work, plans, decisions, reports, problems and pressures of that specific audience. They even simulate the people managed by each group. PCI builds "hands-on" seminars around each model to teach the exact leadership and business skills needed by that audience; with the simulation to practice on and for immediate feedback on results!
Global Reach
PCI Global's Computer Simulation-Seminars have been delivered in the USA, Europe, England, Latin America, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong.
Tailored Curriculum and Delivery
All seminars are available: "as is", as a stand-alone course to be built into annual conferences or tailored to an integrated curriculum of your own. Each course can be delivered by our instructors or by your staff, under license with train-the trainer.
Bottom-Line Focus
Your people will learn how to increase productivity, profits, quality and customer service with less staff - at all levels - and for each core process.
Accelerated Learning
PCI's "hands-on" simulations compress months of real-world experience into days, speeding up learning while saving thousands of hours and dollars. For General Electric we downsized a 5-day course into 3-days; for Johnson & Johnson we cut a 3-day class to 2-days. Surprisingly, ratings on Time Well Spent increased to 88% and that is an average!
You will not learn to swim by listening to a lecture on swimming. Until you get in the water and splash around - you will not know what it means to swim. Lectures alone do not bring the student into conscious contact with the learning. For example, it is only when a student actually manages a project that he will know what it means to manage a project. The only way for a student to experience learning on multiple levels is to re-create all the intricacies of the workplace within the training experience. Computer Simulations are models of the real world that recreate the work, plans, decisions, reports, problems, people and pressures of a particular work environment.
How it works:
- The simulation duplicates all facets of working in the real world. What is duplicated?
- The actual work, people that are needed to complete the work (with a variety of personalities and experience levels), decisions, problems that may arise, planning, risks, possible conflicts, budgeting issues and more.
- No special computer skills are needed to participate in a Computer Simulation course.
Learn by doing:
- The student becomes directly involved and accountable.
- They make decisions, take risks, manage people, deal with unknown issues and get immediate feedback on their choices.
Learning is accelerated:
- Computer Simulations can compress months of real-world experience into just days.
- Simulations help to speed up the learning process.
Content is relevant and meaningful to the participant:
- All computer simulations are tailored to replicate the unique complexities of a particular line of business.
Participant's work within a Team:
- Participants strategize and work together to develop solutions. They learn from their teammates and other teams within the classroom.
Each student leaves with a "Bottom-Line Tool Kit":
- PCI Computer Simulation courses provide take-away tools that students will use immediately back on the job. These tools help students to continually increase productivity, manage and control costs and enhance quality.
The PCI Learning Advantage:
In PCI courses, participants learn from:
- The Live Program Leader
- Their Team Mates
- The Simulation Results
- The Reports from Other Teams
- Increased productivity while decreasing the time it takes to train participants.
- Reduce costs to train participants to be more effective at their jobs.
- Motivate participants with an exciting learning process that can be easily applied back on the job.
