Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA/FMEA) M-763
DESCRIPTION:
In this course, participants learn the specific techniques of detailed Problem Prevention. Much more than obvious error-proofing steps, FMEA seeks to identify all possible sources of defects, prior to finalizing a design or a process. Based on this thorough analysis, risks are identified and prioritized. Once risks are prioritized, actions to reduce risk are determined and actions taken are documented. This is an extremely powerful quality tool and widely regarded as a very valuable business strategy.
OBJECTIVES:
The primary objective of this course is to build participant's skills in Problem Prevention, specifically using advanced FMEA techniques. Successful deployment of this strategy can significantly reduce costs associated with new product/process launches and process or product changes.
AUDIENCE:
Any person who might participate on a business team whose goal is to prevent problems using FMEA techniques (i.e., lead design or process engineers, machine operators, test engineers, cross functional supervisors, suppliers etc.).
PREREQUISITES:
None
EXPECTED RESULTS:
Dramatic reduction in costs associated with new Product/Process development and process changes due to significantly lower high-risk failures.
WORKSHOP DURATION: 2 Days
